In the early 1800's, the citizens of Krakow decided that city walls were outdated and tore them down. In the empty 52 acres, they planted a garden, which still rings the old city, making the beautiful old park accessible from everywhere. A marvelous idea for any city. Since we had a ton of time to just relax in Krakow, we played for a while in the Planty Garden and came away with some nice fall pictures.
We saw so many people holding these leaf bouquets: moms, college students... I wonder if they stick them in a vase or strew them on a windowsill or what?
