Daisy's Christmas Cookie Cut-Outs

1 1/2 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

Chill at least one hour, roll out and cut into shapes, bake at 400 degrees for about 6 minutes.

Let cool, then top with icing and sprinkles.
